God is always at the center
of what we believe

Our core beliefs are centered on Christ's teaching and example, found and supported in Scripture. There's nothing new here. It's basic biblical doctrine derived directly from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, without error regarding spiritual truth, and the only written revelation from God to man. We believe that the message of the Bible is relevant for all times and should be available to and shared with all people. In all matters of faith and practice, God's Word is the final authority. In matters where Scripture is silent, believers should conscientiously seek to be led by the Lord because it is to Him alone he or she is ultimately responsible.

God

We believe in the one true God eternally existing in three equal persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the beginning, God demonstrated His power, wisdom, and goodness by creating this world and all things in it. Through His divine power and providence, God continues to sustain His creation, operating within history to fulfill His redemptive purposes.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, mysteriously one with God the Father. According to God's loving plan, Jesus was fully united with a human nature by a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived in perfect obedience to the Father, voluntarily paid the price for the sins of all people by dying on the cross as their substitute, and satisfied divine justice bringing salvation to all who trust in Him alone. After His physical death, Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father as the only intercessor between God and humans. He promises to return to earth, personally and visibly, to fulfill history and the eternal plan of God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, as part of the divine community, inspired men to write the Bible, enlightens the minds of sinners to their need to be saved, renews and indwells each believer upon salvation and becomes their source of assurance, strength and wisdom, empowering them for lead a life of Christ-like character and bear fruit for the Father’s glory.

Humanity

We believe that mankind was created in God's image and was intended for a thriving intimate relationship with God. This is why we see much that is good in man. But the beautiful image God placed in man was marred by "the fall" when Adam and Eve, the representatives of all mankind, failed (in the way we all would have had we been there) to live by God's guidelines and moral standards. Having rejected God, all of mankind is now prone to sin and separated from their holy and loving creator, desperately in need of a rescue from God's just wrath against sin and rebellion. Through faith in Jesus Christ, God empowers believers to lead a life of Christ-like character and bear fruit for the Father’s glory.

Salvation

We believe the central purpose of God's revelation in Scripture is to call people into fellowship with Him. Originally created to be in relationship with God, humans defied Him by going their own independent way, resulting in alienation the innate inability to please God. This fall took place at the beginning of human history – all people since have suffered these consequences and are in need of the saving grace of God.

The salvation of humanity is completely a work of God's free grace – it is not in any way the result of human works or goodness. God provided the rescue we so desperately needed when he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to take upon himself the wrath and separation we deserve. Jesus took our place on the cross, he died for our sins, and now he offers back to us the beautiful intimacy with God that we were intended to experience! This amazing gift is available to everyone who will repent of their sins (turn from sinful, selfish living) and trusts in the death of Jesus as the only way to be saved. God’s Word assures us that He will continue His saving work in us forever.

The church

We believe that all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are united with Him as members of His body, the one true church. Scripture commands Christ Followers to gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, and the teaching of the Word; to observe Baptism and Communion as established by Jesus Christ; to offer service to the body through development and use of talents, gifts, and outreach to the world. The Spirit lovingly draws believers to walk in paths of righteousness, directs their hearts to spend time in the Bible so that they can contemplate its truths, encouragements and warnings, prays to the Father for them, and encourages them to grow in loving, childlike intimacy with God.
